Who we are

BluePrints Canada is a content creator based in Ottawa, Canada. Our scope extends from coast to coast to coast, as we explore the stories behind the companies that build Canada. From architects to bridge builders, from electricians to engineers, from millwrights to interior designers: we tell the stories of the millions of Canadians who work in the skilled trades, and adjacent sectors. If your work involves blueprints, we’ve got you covered.

The Three-Point System

Our Process

Research and Outreach: The project kicks off with thorough research to identify Canada's largest to smallest construction companies. This involves mining industry databases, news articles, and market reports to compile a comprehensive list. Outreach begins to these companies, introducing The BluePrints Project and its objectives.

  1. Engagement and Scheduling: Once initial contact is established, personalized invitations are sent out to presidents, CEOs, and senior management of these construction companies. The invitations highlight the opportunity for them to share their company's story and achievements. Meetings are scheduled at the convenience of the interviewees.

  2. Pre-Interview Preparation: Before each interview, the team conducts extensive research on the company being featured. This includes studying recent projects, understanding company history, supply chain dynamics, operations, management structure, marketing strategies, and future plans. The goal is to ensure informed and insightful conversations during the interviews.

  3. Interviews with Industry Leaders: Editor Paul Harrison conducts in-depth interviews with the presidents, CEOs, and senior management of the construction companies. These interviews delve into various aspects such as recent projects, challenges faced, innovative solutions employed, company culture, sustainability initiatives, and the broader industry landscape. The conversations are recorded for accuracy and reference.

  4. Content Creation: The recorded interviews serve as the foundation for creating meaningful and creative content. The editorial team meticulously transcribes the interviews, extracting key insights and compelling anecdotes. This content is then curated into written articles, infographics, and video segments.

  5. Design and Production: The design team takes over to visually enhance the content. They create engaging layouts for business brochures, incorporating company logos, images of projects, and relevant statistics. Video content is edited to highlight key moments from the interviews, adding animations and graphics for visual appeal.

  6. Quality Assurance: Before dissemination, all content undergoes rigorous quality assurance checks. This ensures accuracy of information, adherence to branding guidelines, and overall professionalism.

  7. Distribution Strategy: The finalized content is strategically shared across large networks within the Canadian construction space. This includes industry publications, online forums, social media platforms, and targeted email campaigns. The goal is to maximize visibility and engagement within the target audience.

  8. Feedback and Iteration: The project team actively seeks feedback from both the featured companies and the audience. This input is used to refine future content and improve the overall effectiveness of The BluePrints Project.

  9. Ongoing Engagement: The project doesn't end with the release of content. The team continues to foster relationships with the construction companies, providing ongoing support and coverage of their achievements. This ensures a sustained presence within the industry and establishes The BluePrints Project as a trusted source of insights and inspiration.
